The Rotary Clubs of Belize and Rotary International are proud to announce that the 26th District Conference of Rotary District 4250 which comprises Belize, Guatemala and Honduras will be held from May 13th – May 16th 2021.
Mr. Orlando “Landy” Burns from The Rotary Club of Orange Walk is currently the District Governor of Rotary District 4250 for the Rotary Year 2021 – 2022. This is the highest and most significant honor for the Rotary District and we are extremely delighted to have a Belizean in such prestigious position. The conference is being hosted by the District Governor, Landy Burns and is being dedicated to the late Ambassador Fred Martinez, under the theme “ONE LOVE”. For the first time, this annual conference will be held virtually, as Rotarians in District 4250 have been resilient in adopting to the new norm of the COVID-19 pandemic, while continuing to pursue the selfless works of Rotary.
While a conference of this magnitude usually brings together more than 300 attendees from the United States, Canada and Central America, it is now expected that the virtual medium will provide a greater opportunity for some 1,000 participants to benefit. Rotarians, Rotaractors and Interactors who were in the past unable to attend, will now be able to experience first-hand, the fellowship and knowledge shared in Rotary. The conference provides the forum for Rotarians, prospective
Rotarians, and friends of Rotary to get together and share ideas and expertise on varying topics of interest. The agenda is indicative of the importance of this conference which is expected to offer business sessions with presentations by dynamic speakers while promoting the works of Rotary and sharing Belize’s culture and cuisine.
